A Growth Day.

I had an appointment with Wendy yesterday at her office, and after checking whether my periodic blood test was due, she dutifully handed me my sugar-free 'Stella' antipsychotic medication. When Wendy last visited me in Victoria, I mentioned that I was thinking of something special that I could do with my son for his birthday and that my son loves aircrafts... Wendy researched the following and e-mailed it to me.

Today I was formally asked if I would be one of the Hearing Voices Group Facilitators at Lambeth Mind. I gladly accepted and will co-facilitate my first group on Wednesday 11th March 2009.
The first International Hearing Voices Congress
17th & 18th September 2009 to be held in Maastricht, Holland.
The Campaign for the Abolition of the Schizophrenia Label
I also received an appointment for a SLAM www.slam.nhs.uk psychotherapy assessment interview for the possibility of group psychotherapy complete with questionaire. I know that I asked Dr Seed to refer me to the Psychotherapy Unit, but actually if I need psychotherapy, I'd rather pay for it myself in addition to my 'Stella' medication prescriptions. Conclusion? I am going to decline.

Today I was having a growth day and, I received this beautiful and unexpected card in the post.
Thank You
I now have photo's with me and the following MPs which were taken on 21 January 2009 when they pledged their support for the Time to Change www.time-to-change.org.uk campaign to end mental health discrimination.

On A Pink Cloud?

I think that 'Some Like it Hot', 'Mrs Doubtfire', 'Big Momma's House' [which I first watched in a cinema in Canada in the year 2000 with my mother, son and several other members of my Stewart family] and 'Junior' are great films.

Will You Be There?

Will You Be There [Free Willy]

Will You Be There [Lyrics]

Hold me, like the river jordan

And I will then say to theeYou re my friend

Carry me, like you are my brother Love me like a mother Will you be there…

Weary, tell me will you hold me When wrong, will you scold me When lost will you find me?

But they told me a man should be faithful And walk when not able

And fight till the end but I’m only human (instru.)

Everyone taking control of me Seems that the world’s Got a role for me

I’m so confused Will you should to me you’ll be there for me

And care enough to bear me

(Hold me) (lay your head lowly)(Softly then boldly) (carry me there)

(Hold me) (love me and feed me)(Kiss me and free me) (I will feel blessed)

(Carry) (carry me boldly) (life me up slowly)(Carry me there) (save me)

(heal me and bathe me)(Softly you say to me) (I will be there)(Life me) (lift me up slowly)

(Carry me blodly) (show me you care) (Hold me) (lay your head lowly)(Softly then boldly) (carry me there)(Need me) (love me and feed me)(Kiss me and free me) (I will feel blessed)Spoken : in our darkest hour in my deepest despair

Will you still care?

Will you be there?

In my trials and my tribulations Through our doubts and frustrations

In my violence my turbulence Through my fear and my confessions

In my anguish and my pain Through my joy and my sorrow

In the promise of another tomorrow

I’ll never let you part for you’re always in my heart

Earlier this evening, I dined at Hungs Chinese Restaurant www.yourbestlocal.com/hungs/

within the extremely satisfying company of several members of my local Quaker www.quaker.org.uk/
Meeting House. www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quaker_history

I arrived at this meal having spent an hour in a Cafe Nero www.caffenero.com/ in Clapham, drinking herbal tea and eating cake, with a male friend [his treat]. During which time, he shared frankly with me his total disenchantment with my active Conservative Party membership. He also very sweetly supplied for my perusal, some Socialist reading material in addition to some information on the Dalia Lama.

I am still nonplus about why this male friend took umbrage, when I stated that the first very basic essential requirement of mine, when considering a non platonic relationship with a female partner in London or the United Kingdom, is that she is fluent in the English language? Actually, come to think of it, I am non too sure why he believes that my decision to have a child who is of mixed heritage, was a political decision?

Anyway

Happily, in between the main meal and dessert at Hungs, I rang and spoke to my wonderful son on the phone. I was delighted to hear that he had been with Joshua, his Steiner School friend, and Joshua's mother to watch the film 'Free Willy'. My son was impressed with this film and spent some time explaining it to me.

My son's reply to my telling him that I love him, was to say that he loves me until the end of the earth. He then went on to explain that as the earth is round his love won't end. I am pleased that my son is currently reading the 'Wind and the Willows' www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wind_in_the_Willows and finding it fascinating. My son also informed me that he has started to learn a new tune on his recorder.

Sadly, I won't be seeing my son until the end of this month, as his foster father will be taking him abroad on a skiing holiday. My son will also be accompanied by his friend Declan, who went skiing as well as camping with him last year.

More Than Words.

Extreme's

More Than Words

More than Words [Lyrics]

Saying I love you

Is not the words I want to hear from you

Its not that I want you Not to say,

but if you only knew How easy it would be to show me how you feel

More than words

is all you have to do to make it real

Then you wouldnt have to say that you love me Cos Id already know

What would you do if my heart was torn in two

More than words

to show you feel That your love for me is real

What would you say if I took those words away

Then you couldnt make things new Just by saying I love you

More than words

Now Ive tried to talk to you and make you understand

All you have to do is close your eyes And just reach out your hands and touch me

Hold me close dont ever let me go

More than words

is all I ever needed you to show

Then you wouldnt have to say that you love me Cos Id already know

What would you do if my heart was torn in two

More than words

to show you feel That your love for me is real

What would you say if I took those words away

Then you couldnt make things new Just by saying I love you

More than words

Falling In Love Again.

On my return home this evening, I received the above invitation for my local Conservative Party's Annual Dinner. I will be attending the April Ashley talk at the Southbank and will regrettably not be able to attend.

On 23rd February 2009, Lambeth Trade Union Council for peace and progress will be holding an open and informal meeting and discussion on -

What should the LGBT & Trade Unionists position be if any re:

Sex Industry Work?

I have been informed that this meeting is important as this may be a issue for the Vauxhall area. It is unfortunate that I will not personally be able to attend this meeting, as I will be working in Westminster until 9pm.

Having viewed the documentary film "Paragraph 175" at Congress House, this evening. I can seriously say that I have been moved beyond the ability to convey my thoughts. I will mention that prior to my son's birth, I had personally spent many openly gay and enjoyable holidays over the years in Berlin. "Paragraph 175" is an eye opener... While making my exit from Congress House, Absolute Radio was playing 'Another One Bites the Dust' www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNQRfBAzSzo By Queen www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_(band)

Monday 9th February 2009, I will be present at the Lambeth LGBT Forum meeting which will be held at Lambeth Town Hall. The last meeting was cancelled due to the snow...
