Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health (SCMH) is an independent organisation aiming to influence and improve mental health policy and practice through a programme of research, service development and training. Publishes reports, runs conferences. Includes 'Breaking the Circle of Fear' a national programme that aims to improve mental health services for African and Caribbean communities, 'The Agenda'. Brixton has always had a rich and diverse Black and queer contemporary social history from the early 19th Century to the present day. This event through informal discussions will shed light on the unique place Brixton holds within the Black LGBT experience in the UK.
